Pictured above is a large repousse copper weathervane depicting, on one side, a whole apple peirced by a traditional arrow. The opposite side portrays the more elaborate core, as if the apple has been sliced in half. The core has been developed in a series of layers with a great sense of a depth and a funky, almost retro, style. Developing the opposite sides of the weathervane differently provides the viewer with a delightful surprise as this seemingly simple motif turns in the wind. The clients in this case chose a more whimsical, hand-drawn font for the cardinal letters. The weathervane was commissioned to celebrate the planting of the clients new orchard.
