Pictured
above is a custom repousse copper weathervane design featuring a seahorse with
"wave" motif banner. The design has gold leaf detail on the eye, banner
and cardinal letters, with additional colour added around the eye. The chiselled
and gilt inscription reads "DAP 21·09·94".
In order to function as a weathervane, primarily-vertical designs like the seahorse
(and the human figure) will require the extra down-wind surface area of a banner
or arrow. |
