Pictured above is a custom repousse copper weathervane of an extra-large Sailboat. This design of this gaff rigged sailboat was based on the Long Island oyster sloop "the Modesty". Plans for the Modesty are displayed at the Mystic Seaport Museum, USA. The oversized weathervane pictured is displayed with the large set of cardinal letters (in the chart above).
