Pictured above are a pair of custom weathercocks. The design was conceived as a decorative interior ornament (for a hotel), and therefore if repeated as a weathervane, the main shaft would need locating more centrally to the bird's belly, and the arrow proportions shifted slightly back. Gold leaf has been applied to the cardinals & the Brown's logo on the arrow, with the weathercocks entirely gilt. Note: the weathercocks pictured above were commissioned with only two directional arms each (i.e. one set of "N & S" cardinals, and one set of "E & W" cardinals)
