Greens Weathervanes

"one of the most highly regarded vane-makers in the world"
-How to Spend It, The Financial Times

Our studio is a passion born from the love of the elements, well-made objects, art, architecture and creating something with your hands (especially when welding torches are involved!). Weathervanes are beautiful objects. Whether seen as architectural features, kinetic artworks, sculpture, folk art, or collectible investments, the weathervane is part of our history, having graced our skylines for over 2,000 years.

Woodfield Farmhouse
Part of Guy's Estate, Tyberton

Having opened our first studio on Martha's Vineyard in Cape Cod (Massachusetts), we transplanted ourselves to the Southwest of England in 1997. First to a stableyard studio at Cockington Court (Torbay), and then to a windblown studio on Dartmoor. Our current studio is in a converted granary (part of a Georgian farmhouse in Herefordshire).

Woodfield farmhouse, it's outbuildings & paddock are being renovated and restored in as "green" a fashion as possible. We are trying not to spray anything on the fields or disturb the bats in the attic. It is our hope that in the future, visitor's will come to the farm as much to pat our Tamworth pigs and try our cider as to see our weathervanes, sign up for a class or take in a show in the gallery.
